Subject:Help identifying artist and period of bud vase
Posted By: paul Fri, May 25, 2018 IP: 2600:8800:9102:1300: I know nothing on this. Searched some on the internet, and wont guess. What I know is its metal assuming bronze, I believe a Japanese bud vase. It is unmarked with any country of origin...but is signed on the side. It appears to be a scene of house and water fall off a mountain (Fuji?) that is picked out in the bronze and possibly inlaid or plated in silver and gold to add accents - again guessing here. The rim appears to be silvered, but is really hard to tell. It stands appx 7" tall and 2 1/2 " in diameter. Any help would be very much appreciated. |
