I have a chinese teapot that I would like to date it. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

You have a "tiliang" (提梁) or "basket handle" teapot, with an apocryphal mark that reads down and across from the top right as "Da Ming Xuan De Nian Zhi", or Made during the Great Ming Dynasty's Xuande Reign. It appears from its nontraditional decorative style to have been manufactured fairly recently, if not in this century, then certainly the late 20th. If you didn't buy it new from a reliable source, you might not wish to use it for brewing and serving tea, because such a pot might have been made for the decorative market with an unsafe glaze and originally had a warning label that has since been removed.
