Posted By: Bill H Thu, Nov 29, 2018 Not imperial and not cloisonné, but a vintage late 20th century above average example of enameled metal called "champlevé" (French for "elevated field"). Cloisonné is named after the wires that are laid down to form its pattern outlines, which are completely filled in with colored enamels to achieve the design. |
