Subject:Netsuke - Bone? Age? ID?
Posted By: Marilyn Fri, Sep 11, 2020 IP: 2605:6001:e281:2900: This came to me as an estate distribution. No info on provenance. 2" x 1/5" Heavy for it's size, I have an Alaskan walrus ivory abt same size and weight. I can thread the holes. |

Posted By: Stan Sat, Sep 12, 2020 It is 20th century and likely fairly recent. You can look at the white surfaces (not shown in the pictures) to see if there are Schreger lines (ivory). It looks like there might be Schreger lines on the surface on the right side of the last picture. |
