Can you help me understand this scene by Shigemasa?

Yai, Kisuke-mi wa takuban ni ki wa senu zo
Hey you, Kisuke** will not come to my house to guard the house

* Senryu, 3-line unrhymed poem
** Kisuke was a common name for a young man who did odd jobbs at teahouses in Yoshiwara

In my understanding a young man losing his jobs due to rising prices and the bad economics tries to find a job with a wealthy merchant on the recommendation of his aunt. Seemingly the merchant is a costumer of the aunt.
