Subject:Help to identify ink on silk (chinese horse)
Posted By: Banquo157 Sat, Dec 04, 2010 IP: 58.169.42.107

Hi I've got a ink on silk horse. It came from my grandmother in Europe during the 1950s. It looks to me to be very much in the style of Xu Beihong. It's 32 cm by 24cm and has no red artists seal. I was wondering if any of you knowledgable people would be able to help identify the artist and or the incription. Thanks.

you got it, style of Xu Beihong, title in upper right "long ma jingshen", something like "old but full of vitality", dated 1971, painted by a Li Xuecheng, perhaps to commemorate a birthday.
