Subject:Unknown Item
Posted By: heidi Wed, Jul 18, 2012 IP: 76.219.196.130 This is unknown to me. It weighs 3-4 pounds, the point is blunt, has 6 sided steel rod which appears to be hand forged, and the handle is dragon shaped & solid brass. Much too heavy to use as a weapon and not easily manuevered around with the hand due to the weight. |

Posted By: Terry Sun, Jan 19, 2014 I am not sure if you are still inquiring about this weapon or not, but it resembles a symbolic weapon used in ancient China. These symbols include public figures who oftentimes have something to do with the idea(s) of rules & order. I'm not sure how to translate the name but the weapon I'm thinking of has notches down the shaft. Perfect examples of this weapon can be seen in the movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (used by Michelle Yeoh in the long fight scene, see image attached) and another movie called Detective Dee (used by Andy Lau, see image attached) Hope this shed some light onto your mystery weapon. I'm also happy to tell you more about the symbolism that I know if you do not already know and would like more information. Best wishes on your search. ~TG |
