Subject:name of artist
Posted By: Patti Koolhoven Thu, Mar 20, 2014 IP: 67.187.141.240 Hi Everyone, years ago I acquired two beautiful silk paintings at an estate sale. I have been trying for years to translate the artist signature by myself but have failed to figure it out. I would be ever so grate to find out the name of the artist. Thank you for your help |

Posted By: Bill H Sun, Mar 23, 2014 Your picture appears to me to have been machine-embroidered on a Jacquard loom, a common method of producing souvenir embroideries in Japan and elsewhere during the 20th century. Yours might have been made in the decades immediately preceding or following World War II. |
