Subject:4 paintings by the same artist of landscape and all different seasons
Posted By: Michael Fri, Jun 13, 2014 IP: 204.195.11.9

I came across these paintings in a storage unit I bought at an auction and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about them? They are all framed in silk and all have the same red seal but all have different writing on them? Any help would extremely appreciated

these are minor works, probably painted for the tourist market, this one titled "Spring in the South" (literally, south of the (Yangtze) river). the artist's seal is a nickname, not the artist's actual name.

Thank you for your help! Is there a literal translation for the nickname? I'm also going to post pictures of the other paintings even if the are minor art they are still really cool

this one seems a bit more interesting to me, but I can't make out the picture's title from your photo. actually I am stuck on the artist's seal from your spring picture, though the last two characters are 山人, or "mountain man", a common term artists gave themselves, eg Bada Shanren, also known as Zhu Da.
