Hi everyone I was hoping you would be able to help me with finding out who or what this painting is. Someone told me is was worth money. Not that I would ever sell it but I would like to know who the artist is and how much it's worth. Thank you.

Not that you would sell it? Oh, I beg to disagree.

The signature and seals are of Huang Zhou, died 1997, who painted tons of these donkeys and their often Chinese minority group herders. I like how the painter modeled the mother donkey's left quarters, but I don't know his work because I don't find it very interesting. A search on "Christies Huang Zhou" will bring up examples that they have thought were decent enough to sell at auction for you to compare yours with.
