Considering buying a bronze vase but trying to identify who it is made by.
On the left ?michi Zo .
Any help appreciated.

I read it as 濵田製 and 笑直造 (Hamada sei/Eminao zô). I'm not sure about the correct pronunciation of 'Eminao'.

Please post an image of the entire object.

Search for: 'Meiji bronze Hamada sei'

Many thanks!Doing some browser searches with your translation there is an artist who signed himself Hamada sei Terunao zo.
I do not have a picture of the vase I am considering buying but will try and post a link to a similar one by the artist above.

Mike,

Hamada is the name of the studio - workshop, famous for top end quality decorated vases in mixed metals. The second signature refers to the individual hammersmith/decorator, employed by the studio.
