Posted By: Bill H Tue, Aug 19, 2014 The characters on the base, shown upside down, are 庄山, which may be transcribed as Shouyama or Shousan, both being surnames and the former also being a place name. I had no luck trying to find out more via Google, including with variants, dropping the "u" from Shou. In any event, probably not Satsuma without the circled cross from the crest. |
