Nippon Craft looks like it produces tourist items. Have you tried contacting them and asking? See link below.

Thank you Stan for your response. I did contact Nippon Craft per your suggestion and Mr. Yoshimura, the shopkeeper graciously responded back saying that the "Nippon Craft" label was not their logo. He further indicated that the logo belongs to the large department store Takashimaya located next to the Shinjuku railroad station in Tokyo. He was not able to decipher the maker's signature, saying that this was an ancient style of calligraphy. The search goes on...
