Subject:New Cloisonne with Lao Tian Li stamps

Lao Tian Li worked about a century ago. I recollect reading somewhere that a Lao Tian Li workshop has been re-opened. A couple of Chinese eBay sellers have been offering cloisonne pieces with the Lao Tian Li signature stamp - usually very modern-looking pieces, nothing at all like the century-old works.
Anyone have a clue what's going on here?

Two eBay searches - note the teardrop-shaped vases in particular, clicking on these items will provide more pictures including the base stamps.

The work looks nothing like any Lao Tian Li I have seen, even the stamp looks slightly different. That is a shame to see. This is the first I have heard of it thank you for sharing though. Thank you for your response. I have noted your eBay auction.

According to this interesting Chinese website, a new cloisonne workshop was established in 2010 and entitled to revive the Lao Tian Li trademark.

Perhaps that explains the very modern appearance of these pieces.

Apparently someone has bought the trademark in 2010 and is selling pieces under the LAO TIAN LI name. The new pieces are quite nice, but the difference is uncanny and easy to spot. The rarity of the originals still remains despite the dirty marketing ploy. Here is another example of an original I have in my collection.
