Subject:Tra Kieu Pedestal from Vietnam Champa Period
Posted By: Joseph Lee Sat, Nov 08, 2014 IP: 108.251.194.111

Does anyone have knowledge of a one of a kind wood carving of one side of the Tra kieu Pedestal from the Champa period in Vietnam. Any information would be helpful. Ultimately looking for a collector who would be interested in this invaluable piece. At one time there was an exact copy of each side of the base - 4 wood carvings. Now only the locations and existence of one is known.

I am so sorry to have missed your post shortly after I posted mine in Nov. last year. To be honest, I forgot to check back as i had been sending word out and contacting universities and professors specializing the Champa period. None of them were familiar with this piece but every one asked me to keep them informed. If you see this and are willing to correspond, I would love to know what you know of it or any information or interest you or anyone else has in the wood carving of one side of the base of the Tra Kieu Pedestal. Again, apologies for not seeing or responding to your post so long ago. Sincerely, Joseph
