Subject:Tra Kieu Pedestal carving
Posted By: David Tue, Dec 02, 2014 IP: 108.251.194.111 Hi all, I am looking for any information anyone might have on the famous Tra Kieu Pedestal in Central Vietnam from the Champa period. There is a wood carving that is an exact and stunning carving of one side of the base but so far no one has had knowledge that this piece even existed. I would be interested in any and all information, possible time period in which it was carved - so perfect wondering if done by original carver. I don't have a page up on it but if someone has knowledge of it I could send a photo or two. I am of course interested in a possible valuation of the piece and if someone knows a collector/s who would have the interest and means to acquire such a rare and valuable piece. Thank you. |
