Subject:Mud Figure - need help

I would like to ask for advise on this small figure which height is 16.5cm with a raised leg. It is made of mud material. Any information on its origin and age is very much appreciated

This looks like vietnamese origin about 18th century

Just for comparison, here's what I believe probably is a Chinese Shiwan kiln image of Guanyin with a child from the 18th century or earlier. The figure is about eight inches high. I find it interesting that both the Chinese and Vietnamese images seem to be making use of a Cizhou-type glaze, although with the Shiwan figure it is accompanied by a sancai glaze.

I also include a second photo showing the base of a probable late Ming Longquan-type figure with similar firing characterstics. I don't think it was made at Longquan but wonder if the color might imply that the Vietnamese figure might be earlier.

a million thanks for the input, the two figures have similar "look" except there is an opening at the back. Is there any special meaning to have a opening at the back

I know that some wooden figures have a hole in the back where they are fitted to a peg which steadies them when placed in their niche on a decorative wooden altar back-piece. I wonder, though, if your ceramic image may have been configured this way to accommodate the insertion of burning joss sticks during prayers to the Goddess. I've seen some other ceramic images that probably were used in this manner.
