Can you please help with this piece. Is it bronze? its very heavy and has circular "grind marks?" and also linear "grind marks?" on the bronze in other places. thanks

Your statue is brass and represents Tsongkhapa the great reformer of tibetan buddhism who lived in the XIVth century.It is modern.
