Subject:unmarked vase

Can anyone help me with any information on this vase, all I know about it is that my mother bought it in Hong Kong about 50 years ago, she used to buy a lot of things from an antique shop there, so not sure if it is old or if she just bought it out of a shop, any info would be much appreciated, even if anyone could tell me if it is chinese, japanese. There is no makers mark. Thanks in advance!

It appears to be a mid 20th century. It was perhaps made for the tourist trade.
