Subject:ANY ADVICE ?? delicate paper cut out ??

The white objects against the are very intricate cutouts that appear to be cutout by hand. They are very detailed and the paper used seems very delicate almost like "tracing paper" as far as the thickness.

The symbols and lettering appear to be cutout of the black paper and are also very intricate and detailed.

ANY INFORMATION regarding this piece would be greatly appreciated!! I apologize for my lack of knowledge and hope to become more educated in this area thru your help.

are you sure those are cut out of the paper? from here they look like rubbings.

either way they are copying (probably a group of) album leaves by Zheng Banqiao aka Zheng Xie, a mid-Qing painter well known for his bamboo and calligraphy who is popular in China today.

Yes the white part is cut from paper and the symbols are cut out of the black paper which is definitely a much heavier paper.
