i have just bought this blanc de chine figure and it is marked , the piece is about 40 cm high and has two seal marks on its back , i wanted to know if someone can please tell me the who is the artist or the time period of this piece

The left part reads "Dahua" and the right : "He Chaozong". Dating late 19th. century.

Late 19th. Century the Dahua potter Su Xiejin started a so called He Chaozong revival period which ended in the early 20th. Ct.. (Su Xiejin died in 1919). He/they made Dahua Guanyins in the same manner as He Chaozong did in the early 17th. Century..
In this case it’s easy to see that your Guanyin dates from this revival period because of the way it’s marked. The original pieces of He Chaozong were marked with a He Chaozong gourd seal (see picture) and the (probably later) pieces of the revival period were marked with a Dehua gourd seal and a He Chaozong square seal.

To conclude: An original He Chaozong from the Ming Dynasty only has the gourd seal as in the picture above. The pieces of the revival carry both seals, but what about those pieces that only carry the square He Chaozong seal?

In the url there's a statue with only the square seal, what does this mean?

As far as I know He Chaozong only used that gourd seal but this is not realy my erea so I don't know much of it. It seems that earlier "servival pieces" had also that "Original"seal so if you find one you still can't be sure it's a real He Chazong.
Yes I'm Dutch too. Thanks, I was aware of that program but I wasn't at home at that time so I missed it. I'll try to find it on internet.

I did find find the program on internet and the conclusion must be that He Chaozong did also used the square mark.

Vorig jaar ben ik in Dehua geweest, heb de meest mooie voorwerpen in het museum daar gezien, o.a. een paar originele He Chaozongs. De museumdirecteur probeerde mij duidelijk te maken hoe het met datering en merken zat.30 jaar ervaring en dertig seconden kijken, zei hij, maar ook hij, in het heilige der heiligen, vond het moeilijk. Aan de fijnheid van de plooien, de zwier, kon hij ook wel ouderdom herkennen. Verder eerden veel navolgers de grote He met een merk , niet om te vervalsen, maar om te eren. In Dehua zijn heel veel fabrieken en ateliers waar Blanc de Chinefiguren worden gemaakt van grote artistieke waarde. Er is ook veel lopendeband werk met mallen en plakwerk. In het museum zijn weinig antieke voorwerpen puntgaaf, kapotgeslagen in de culturele revolutie, begraven en ruw weer opgegraven.De kans een echte He Chaozong op een veiling tegen te komen, hier in Europa, is heel klein.
