Subject:I would like to know who the artist is.
Posted By: Hans Sun, Feb 15, 2015 IP: 77.173.160.144

A couple of years ago I bought this woodblock print. After searching until now for any information I found nothing.

I hope that somebody on this forum can help me to find the artist of this work. Or to translate the text for me. Any information is welcome.
Thanks

Great, I'm impressed. I actually didn't expected an answer so fast. Thanks.
Can you even tell me when this print was printed?

The artist was active over 200 years ago.
No one can tell you how old your collections are by just looking at the pictures. There are definitely copies and reproductions made over the centuries. You'll need the provenance/history of your collection plus possibly carbon dating or similar tests to authenticate your collection. In the absence of these, your collection is just another piece of paper worth as much as anyone else is willing to pay for it.
