Subject:Japanese Vase Identification
Posted By: JNance Sun, Feb 22, 2015 IP: 75.139.82.215 I would like any information on the identification of this vase and Japanese characters on the bottom. My father, a U.S. army officer, was stationed in Japan immediately after WWII. This note was found inside the vase: "With sincerest best wishes and remembrances of your tour in Kofu (Japan). It was our pleasure to have you with us. (Signed) "The Yamanashi Military Government Team, March, 1949." |
