Subject:Huanghuali wood???

Can anyone tell me what type of wood this is? There's not a lot of the natural wood surface exposed, but it has some of the qualities of huanghuali, particularly the translucent surface. The link is a slideshow with more images. I have been told that it's an Asian hardwood, and I haven't found any images of wood that match the color, grain, etc. more closely than the huanghuali. Any suggestions?

Can someone tell me if they believe this is NOT huanghuali wood, or anything they recognize about the grain of wood seen here?
