Posted By: Bill H Fri, Apr 24, 2015 I found another pot with the same mark described on a Chinese website as made of Shantou red clay and priced at 2,800.00 Chinese yuan (RMB), equal to US$451.81. Shantou is quite distant from Yixing if I remember correctly. |

Posted By: Bill H Fri, Apr 24, 2015 P.S., I couldn't find this mark (智成逢記 - Zhi cheng feng ji) in the Gerald Davison "New & Revised Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics". It possibly can be translated as "Registered mark of Where Perfect Wisdom Happens". |
