Subject:silk painting

This piece is on silk, and I believe it to be Chinese. Please help in identifying the artist and/or title. The seal is a bit blurry, I apologize.

The title is along the lines of "Dragon and maiden cavorting", artist's name and seal are unclear from your images but this seems meant as a decorative work.

sorry, left out the last character of the title, which is "pearl": the girl is holding the "pearl of wisdom" which the dragon is seeking. So something like the game of "keep away" is going on here.

I can't make the artist's name but the title of Your Chinese painting is "The Dragon's Daughter is Presented a Pearl" (龍女獻珠 - Long Nu Xian Zhu). This subject is based on a passage in the Buddhist "Lotus Sutra", which tells of the Dragon King's daughter, Nagakanya, and three others with "victorious bodies", who became Bodhisattvas (Mortal Buddhas), without having to pass through the reincarnation cycle. Nagakanya accomplished this under the direct tutelage of the Bodhisattva Manjusri. Another picture involving this same Chinese Buddhist subject is provided at the link.

I must commend the efforts of both rat and Bill in translating the title of this silk picture.

While I cannot rule out the possibility that the title of the picture is 龍女獻珠 (the dragon daughter is presenting a pearl), but based on the four characters being displayed on this picture, it appears more likely 龍女戲珠, the dragon daughter is playing with a pearl. Now, of course I can be wrong and if that is the case, I would like to apologize in advance. Super

Super, you were right the first time. My Buddhist dictionary didn't tell the whole story, and I drew the incorrect context from the paintings. I should have translated that line as "The dragon's daughter presents a pearl" instead of "is presented a pearl". Here's a link to Wikipedia with the story and its permutations in English.
