Subject:What country is this buddha from.

Hello all, I have just come into posession of an old buddha, i was informed it was an Indian buddha, but someone else has said it could be Tibetan. Can anyone identify the country and age (if possible).

Your buddha is from India and seems old.But from what period it is hard to say,I am rather "specialized" in tibetan bronzes.Anyway it is very beautiful and good quality. Best regards, Rémy

Your Buddha is of the same style as one in the link. But may not of the same age.

Dear Sridhar,I don't agree with Benny when he compares the style of your buddha with the one on the link.Gandharan buddhas are greco-buddhist representations and yours is,I'd say,stylistically pure indian.
