Subject:Oil on Canvas _ Need your help to identify

Hi guys,
Oil on Canvas- don't know why the pictures did not attach on the last posting.


Here is a painting that I have had for what seems like.... EVER ! For some reason, I could just not get rid of it, nor have I ever hung it.
It's just been stored away in a closet and I have chosen today to try to get any information on it.

The only thing I know about this painting is that it is oil on canvas and on the back it looks like Kochendorfer or Rochendorfer. '32

Do any of you recognize the person in the painting or can translate the writing ?
Does anyone know the artist ?

Should I hang it, or put it back in the closet ? :)
