Found these interesting Thai covered containers in Bandung, Indonesia.

Workmanship makes me believe these are imitations. A picture of the bottoms may confirm that. Imitations are plentiful in Indonesia and a wide selection is available in the stalls on Jalan Surabaya in Jakarta.

To my knowledge, these two ceramics containers were from Sisatchanalai kilns ,in the north of Thailand.. They probably were retrieved from shipwreck sites in Indonesia.

Claus, thanks for responding. I agree that imitations are aplenty on the streets of Jakarta, or in Bangkok, for that matter, but I am sure that these I bought in an antique shop in Bandung from an old Indonesian Chinese couple are real.
