Subject:Hongshan Collection ?

Hello Everybody,

I am new here, really not professional in Jade, we just start cause my friend collect 15 pcs of old ( Hongshan ? ) Jade
recently and we start to study those so i just want to share with people interesting about and collect
some informations if possible cause we are still neophyte.

some of those parts are really unbelievable and i assure that i take all pics by myself with my phone few days ago. - no stolen pics

We talking about real stuff here, no one of those can be bought for few thousand usd (it's really more)

If any interest or want to see more, please let me know, i will have better picture with a real camera and online gallery soon .

products are fake for you ?
If so why we never see any similar online ? if it's a copy , should have many chinese production of it , no ? then many pics online of those product

i am serious , i am just newbie in this domain asking for some infos

it's seems that it's more near HAN dynasty than hongshan

i do not lie 1 word in my first message....just searching for infos of what i have in hand

really cracked me up.

So you posted from Hong Kong with pictures of such horrific pieces of so called Hongshan pieces and with such a bold statement, you must indeed believe there must be a lot of 老衤親 (schumuck) here in this forum?

My smart friend who is really good at many things except his jade collections, had spent 20-25k US dollars in building up a Neolithic jade collections with many Hongshan pieces that are similar to or better than your pieces that were posted here. He valued his collection to be worth about half a million US dollars. He even published an electronic book with pictures of his jade collection, once was available to be purchased at Amazon.com. He was smart enough that he only spent small amount of money on each piece and most of the time the material of some of his modern fantasy Hongshan pieces were actually more than his purchase prices.

Therefore, if you indeed spoke the truth and paid a fortune for them, I am not sure if I should feel sorry for you or? If you have other personal agenda, then I believe you had come to the wrong place.

What made you believe any of your Hongshan style pieces are the real stuff? Based on your own collecting experience?

IMHO, the material of all of the pieces you posted here were not made of credible Hongshan material, probably are either cheap nephrite that was imported from outside China or cheap serpentine (Xiu Yu) that was readily available in China. The workmanship that was exhibited on all of them were so poor that to call them even Hongshan style pieces would almost be compliments.

In short, Sir, what exactly made you make such a bold statement and what exactly is your agenda?

They are fake because they don't correspond to any authentic archaic jade carving...
Beside size, shape, carving methods, materials are wrong and they present all evidence of chemical agering...
