I was wondering if you could give me some info about the attached silk tiger painting. My mother inherited them from her grandmother.

These were very popular souvenirs in the early 1950s for service people in Japan. They were easy to roll-up and mail home and were available in abundance along the Ginza. Some are very attractive but only of decorative value.
