Hello,
Can anyone help me figure out what I inherited here?
Any idea on wholesale vs retail value? I could really use some help.

Appears to be Vietnamese blue and white from the 15th century. However, I don't know if it's period or repro.

Hi Robert,
This Charger/bowl is large at 19.5 inches in diameter and weighs about 15 pounds which seems quite heavy. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Although they made large chargers, ca. 48 cm. in diameter, your's is somewhat larger than usual. Also they tend to have unglazed bases or just an iron brown dressing, so your charger is atypical in this respect too.

I am starting to think this might possibly be 18th century or earlier European Delft? There are examples similiar to this that the Dutch made with the Chinese influence. I guess it would fall under the category of Chinoiserie? Any thoughts?

European "Delft" ware never had a white paste. Its soft milky-white glaze with tin content for opacity nearly always chipped somewhere so that one can see the iron-red (terra-cotta) clay.

The decoration of post-Yuan scrolling on the lip and the lotus scrolling in cavetto are well beyond the abilities of European decorators'
"Chinoiserie" painters, who did not understand the motifs at all well.

The decoration of this dish also is well beyond the abilities of someone who was merely copying them from another dish.

With the speckled ware/glaze and decorative qualities, I think the suggestion of Vietnamese ware is likely, the decoration probably by one of Chinese background. There were and are lots of Chinese-background folk in Vietnam, and this dish was probably made for this community. Placing age is beyond my knowledge -- but it may not be very old, perhaps 20th century.

The 4-claw dragon is not especially significant, although many would say this places the dish's manufacture outside of Japan.

Does the fact that the Dragon has 4 claws give any clue to the nature of this charger?
