Subject:Shape of Chinese vase

I had been researching for the name of this shape of vase but without success. Can any one of the Forum experts help? With much appreciation, thank you!

Perhaps Japanese rather than Chinese, the shape based on a gourd/calabash but I'm not sure of the terminology.

I'm unsure of where or when this piece was made, but its inspiration may have been a rosewater sprinkler, which was an early Qing if not previous export product, mostly for Middle Eastern markets I believe.
