Subject:Re: Identify symbol or makers mark
Posted By: Bill H Mon, Aug 17, 2015 The mark looks a bit like an upside-down Chinese "four" (si - 四) and thus may be a factory stock or size indication. The covered jar in pomegranate form reminds me of a Chinese attempt to make something that's supposed to look Japanese. Possibly a late 20th century or subsequent product of a porcelain ornamentation factory in Hong Kong or Macao. |
