Hi There,

I wonder if anyone can help me with the identification of this mark.

The two characters in the dark rectangle with gilt borders (shown on its right side) would read down as "Satsuma" when flipped 90 degrees to the left. The gilt circled cross is from the crest of the hereditary dukes of Satsuma.

You would do well to query "Satsuma" as a keyword via the forum search feature for a wealth of information on what this mark means and doesn't mean.
