Picked this plate up at an estate sale and was told it was very,very old. I know it is igezara but it has a black underglaze signature or symbol that I can't figure out. Does anyone know what it is? Also what kind of mythological animal is this TIA

Here's a good Igezara online museum for your reference. Home page is both in English & Japanese. I believe there is a link there about kiln or factory names.
