Posted By: winnie Thu, Sep 24, 2015 IP: 171.96.184.38

i've receive this family heirloom from my grandfather, it was thought to be an incense burner. but the thing that amazed me is that the painting what were painted on. it were so detail, which include those clouds(in a lingzhi shape), flames, ball, ribbons, and lions. i try to find in the internet a similar product to mine, but i cant. especially the painting of these foo dog, i cant find anything that can compare to this.
the only thing that wonder me much is that "why is the painting upside down"
i am wonder if this is a reproduction of an antique object, or is a product that is made for a european market or and SEA market. i saw this "thing" since i was born for 25 years, my dad said that he saw this since he was born as well (58 years), and my grandfather cant remember when those this object came to his possession but he remember seeing it since he was very young(he just turns 100 month ago).

looking toward an information.
thank you in-advance.

ps. i uploaded a full picture of the object, the painting detail, and the writing inside the object which say "1758" ?
