Subject:Antique Chinese Exquisitely Carved Box

hi everybody. i just found this piece. it measures 11 inches in length. as you can see from the pictures, it's broken(unfortunately). i would like to find out how old it is, what does the mark mean, and what the material is that it's made of. i've provided a picture of the mark on the base. also, is it worth trying to fix it. the pieces do fit together nicely, so that there's only a couple of spots where you can see the break. any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

From the photos, it looks like molded resin.

Maybe some better well lit photos, inside and out would help.

The box is molded and new. it is a souvenir for sale to tourists.
