Subject:Can anyone identify this mark...
Posted By: Michael L. Beeck Sun, Oct 25, 2015 IP: 71.97.28.103

I have a large 24" Chinese vase that has this mark on the bottom. I think it is Guangxu Period (1875-1908) but don't know that for sure. Any help would be appreciated...

The mark is stamped and does refer to the Guangxu reign, but the vase is quite recent I think.

Apocryphal mark of 'Made during the Guangxu Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty' on a late 20th century vase, probably decorated for export in Hong Kong or Macao.

Best regards,

Bill H.
