Subject:Jing Tai Lan - 景泰蓝 - Chinese phrase for cloisonne
Posted By: beadiste Thu, Nov 19, 2015

I have a number of these cute little bottles, a couple of which were strung into bead necklaces.
Some have wire loops in the holes either side of the neck.
They seem to date from around the 70s, give or take a decade either way.

Thank you for your info. I added more photos. I inspected the base with acid and it was positive for 18K. (not plated).
Are yours also solid gold? Michael.

Unless one files down to the underlying metal, surface testing can be deceptive.

Filing, of course, leaves a spot of damage, as does the acid.
