Subject:pls help to identify these calligraphers

Many decades ago I visited japan and fell in love with calligraphy. I purchased a number of scrolls, simply for their beauty, but now I have some time on my hands I would like to know more about them and am requesting help in identifying the calligraphers. Thanks to all for spending their time on this.

I am quite sure that on japanese scrolls you will find the written signatures of the artists above the seals often including the date.
Am I wrong?

yes but most of these seem to be art names and aphorisms rather than the artists' seals commonly seen below a signature. these may have been placed around the calligraphy in rather than below a signature. in any case images of the overall work are appreciated, they may tell us more about it than the seals do.

Thank you for your reply and advice, my knowledge is completely minimal ! I am away from home for the next 6 weeks but shall post some complete photos on my return.
