Subject:Unknown asian
Posted By: Steve Thu, Feb 04, 2016 IP: 90.255.168.93 Hi, please help with this bowl, its about 14" across. I know very little about Asian pottery. All I know is that I bought from charity shop in the UK and its very pretty. It has a stamp on the base, cheers Wolfie |

Posted By: rat Fri, Feb 05, 2016 this isn't pottery, but meant to be carved lacquer. However its rough surface and the false Qianlong mark on the base suggest to me that it may be a recent molded product instead. maybe post some clearer photos and someone knowledgeable can comment. |

Posted By: pipane Fri, Feb 05, 2016 Not pottery, but lacquer carved dish... picture is not clear enough to say anything about it age, but mark looks modern. Better picture of inside carving and Bottom necessary to authenticate with more accuracy. |
