Subject:Asking for help with a Silk? Painting

Hello all! Recently purchased a painting at auction. Not sure if it is Chinese or Japanese in origin. When viewing through a loupe, it looks like the painting is done on a woven material, perhaps silk or canvas. If possible, would really like to know artist's name, origin, translation, age, and value (if allowed). I will reply to this message in order to add more images. Am not sure of the origin of this picture either. or the complete reading of the seal, but its title is "Walking through Snow, Seeking Plum Blossoms." The Chinese plum blossoms in late winter.
