I bought this from an estate that included lots of items brought to the US from Asia during WWII, but I can't find a single item similar to it online. It is a footed urn style coal stove with a hole in each foot to bolt it to flooring. At the bottom of the body of the urn is a hinged pan, and there is a ledge in the belly of the urn where a grate presumably existed at one time. Also on the front of the urn (among clouds and dragons) there are four holes and the outline of a rectangle that looks like a metal label or name plate one was affixed to the stove.
