Could someone please translate the writing for me? Thanks. I think one of them is the signature of the artist.

Hi Margie,
My Chinese friend said the 2 black characters translate as "Jade Bird" pronounced "Yu Yan" and that it is probably not the artist's real name, but a "painter's name" similar to authors who use a pen-name. She said the red stamp under the black characters says the same in an old script. She will try to Google it in Chinese for you,
Cheers,Gary

my guess at the other seal is 奇情 which is also not the artist's name, but a 'leisure seal'. this is a minor artist, it may be quite hard to discover her (a guess from the nickname) identity.

Thank you, Gary and rat, for information about the signature.

Dear Rat,

Sorry to disagree with you - you almost had it, but seal carvers are funny people and like making things hard for 'ordinary' folk.

寄清 The triangular enclosure at the top of Ji is a bit confusing but is the Roof radical, and the Water radical in Qing is the honed done three stroke version.

To be precise, 玉燕 Yu Yan should be translated as Jade Swallow. No pun intended.
