Subject:Identification stem cups and saucers

from what i understand after some digging is that i found an odd stemcup and saucer from what seems to be semi Kutani style Meiji period
Made by the illustrious Keiko.

Unfortunately I am a mere amateur when it comes to porcelain history and periods.

Could anyone tell me more about these items or help me identify them?

Hi Fritz,

The most of it you have already correct, it is Kutani, maybe late Meiji, that's hard to tell from just pictures and the signature is indeed "Keiko Sei" - Made by Keiko - 圭子 製.
Keiko is a female (first) name, Japanese.
I've seen 2 other Keiko marks on 2 Arita Imari pieces, signed: Saishintei Keiko Sei, which were dated early Meiji (1868-1880) - see picture. But whether this is the same Keiko is only a guess, I don't know.

Thank you so much for this confirmation. It has been quite a mystery to me ..

Upon further research into the subject i found lovely stories about the trade and production of these pieces. the place it was made and even an new age pottery that holds this "family" name.

It seems everyone who lived around this kiln was involved with decoration and it was probably made by a family in the well known kiln of Arita.

even found a new age kiln close to the original kiln.
