Hi Arne,

The mark spells Kotobuki, but it can also mean: JU 壽.
Kotobuki is both a Japanese surname or a given name.
It more or less translates to: congratulations, long life, celebration, rejoicing or happy event.
In case it's a surname, full name could probably be Kotobuki Otori.

Indeed probably mid 20th C.
Regards,
Martin

You wonder if these would be "collectable."

As antiques? No.

As finely decorated items? No.

As specialty items from famous maker? No.

May have been made as inexpensive gifts for occasion of wedding or birth of child. Think how very many such items have been made. So rarity is not a factor.

As in most other manufactured items in the world, quality can be of wide range.
