Hello,
I have a diorama of an Asian pastoral scene that was created inside of a large shell (11 by 6 inches) and is made entirely of hand carved pieces of shell (I have confirmed this under magnification). It appears to be fairly unique; I haven't found anything quite like it. I'm assuming it is Chinese in origin, but I don't know this for sure. Under magnification it is clear the components were hand carved. I'm hoping the forum can help inform me of its origin. Thank you as always.

For some reason the original picture was distorted. Here is an attempt to provide a better image. The figure depicts a fisherman complete with a pole, line, and caught fish made entirely out of carved shell.
