Subject:Chinese antique Cabinet

First of all, I live outside China, and am not a Chinese.
I possess an antique cabinet, which is Chinese as I thought.
Could anyone have any idea of this type of cabinet and its value?

I have one almost exactly the same, though the paintings are slightly different. It is from Chaozhou or Southern Fujian, maybe late nineteenth century.

These were not used as wedding chests at least, not with this size. Storage of scrolls I would think.

You might check the interior, especially under removable planks and between drawers. Some of these have hidden compartments for storing your gold,cash, and jewelry.

Do you have photos of the interior? There are usually rather ornately carved drawers inside.

Here's my cabinet's insight. Yes, it has compartments, 1 large and 2 smaller.
Btw, do you know what kind of wood they may use for the cabinet? as the paint cover it all.
