Subject:Japanese woodblock ukiyo-e identifiaction

I have a Ukiyo-e woodblock that has water damage to the lower right.

Could someone advise the translate signature chop at the bottom? Any idea of the story depicted?

There is a publisher's seal at the bottom. There is no signature. The signature is on one of the other panels of the print. If you have the other panels, please show them.

Thank you, Stan. Unfortunately, this is the only panel I have. Could you advise the publisher and possibly the historical reference? I'll try to Google the rest.

Just load a picture of your print to the site and it'll search it's database for a matching image. It's pretty remarkable.

I don't see the publisher's seal in my references. You can google something like "japanese print publisher seals" and look online. The date seal is too small to see (above the publisher seal), but the print is from the Meiji Era/late 1800s.

Thank you for this. The ukiyo-e.org website is quite neat but, my woodblock was not included. I searched seals and though I could not find the date, I do believe that I found the publisher.

Tsujiokaya Bunsuke; seal reading 文 辻文板よこ山町三丁目; (firm name Kinshōdō)

That is, if the attached photo is indeed a match. (I am a Chinese reader, not a Japanese reader and don't know the nuances of Japanese writing).

What do you think? Did I find something?
